About our school
Capoeira is a combination of martial arts, dance, music, acrobatics and energy developed by the slaves in Brazil, as a symbol for their freedom. Through the centuries capoeira evolved to the modern art it nowadays is known for. In 1989 Mestre Paulao, Mestre Paulinho Sabia and Mestre Boneco, created a beautiful style: this is Grupo Capoeira Brasil.

Robert David Szegal
My name is Robert David Szegal, but in the capoeira world everyone call me on my nickname: Zé Bonitinho.
I started doing capoeira with Formanda Pimenta in January 2002, and I knew right away that this is the sport, hobby, lifestyle, and form of self-expression for me.
I started to teach capoeira for teens in 2007, and I recived my first official instructor cord in 2011. After 21 years of training, in july 2023 I became a "Professor" in Grupo Capoeira Brasil as a student of Mestre Paulinho Sabiá.
